About The Books

You can find a complete list of all my books on the Books tab, organized by series.

All of my books are currently available to purchase on Amazon in Kindle, Audible, and paperback formats.

Currently, as an indie author, my books aren’t found in stores; however, if you know of book events, festivals etc., I would be happy to display and sell autographed books.

I began my writing and publishing journey in July 2024. I’ve always loved reading mysteries and watching PG-rated whodunits, so as a second career, I decided to create my own cozy world—where my heroine and her furry sidekicks help sniff out clues and solve cases.

Great question! No—my books do not need to be read in order.

Each mystery is clean, self-contained, and written as a standalone, so you can jump into any book in either series and enjoy the story from beginning to end.

That said, if you read them in order, you’ll catch a few fun character details and ongoing relationships—but the mystery in each book is always complete on its own.

Readers who adore animal-centered cozy mysteries will feel right at home with Hattie’s lovable trio: Cecil, the observant British Shorthair cat; Mini Pearl, the tiny Yorkie with a big personality; and Moose, the beloved grumpy Chow Chow who always seems one step ahead of trouble. Filled with Southern charm, small-town secrets, humor, and heart, this series is perfect for readers who enjoy clever pets playing a starring role in the mystery-solving fun. Fans of Rita Mae Brown, Lilian Jackson Braun, Sofie Kelly, and Laurien Berenson may especially enjoy the animal antics and cozy small-town charm woven throughout the series.

My inspiration comes from a mix of real-life experiences, travel, and everyday curiosity. From my years living in Oregon to my move to Nashville, I’ve always loved exploring new places—whether it’s a quiet small town, a lively city corner, or a hidden local gem that feels like it could be the backdrop for a mystery waiting to unfold.

I also find endless inspiration in culinary adventures. I love exploring the cuisines of different cultures, trying new flavors, and discovering how food brings people and places together. Those experiences often find their way into my stories, adding a little extra flavor to the mystery.

At the heart of it all, I’m always asking, “What story could happen here?” That curiosity fuels my cozy mysteries and helps me bring settings, characters, and even dishes to life so readers feel like they’re right there solving the case alongside them.

These days, I’m not spending as many hours at the piano or harp as I once did—and I do miss it. But I’ve given most of that time and energy to writing and self-publishing my books, which has become a full time obsession.

After a two-year break, I’m also excited to be bringing tennis back into my life. I’ve played competitively since high school and continued into my post-college years through USTA singles and doubles play—something I’ve always loved. It’s a sport my father introduced me to when I was a child, and it’s remained a true joy ever since.

The best remedy for those who are afraid, lonely or unhappy is to go outside, somewhere where they can be quiet, alone with the heavens, nature and God. Because only then does one feel that all is as it should be.
